Weird Turns Pro
The purpose of this project was to develop a unique concept for a book dealing with someone whom I perceived to be ‘a person of worth’, 52 year old Pierre Lundberg. He is a multifaceted character who has many experiences and adventures to share and this book portrays his stories, which range from weird to ridiculously absurd. Eating 5 day old, rotten baboon and coaching springbok inline skating are just some of the many weird and extraordinary stories this book has to offer. This notion of weird led to a quote by Raoul Duke “when the going gets weird, the weird turned pro” and this quote forms the concept of my book. The chapters are broken up into three: chapter 1, When the weird gets going, chapter 2, The weird turns pro chapter 3, The pro gets weirder. Each chapter is a progressive build up of the previous, leading up to more ‘weirdness’.
